Once again, I'm on the Board of Folk Alliance Region Midwest (my last shift before passing the baton) and helping run our annual gathering at the Holiday Inn of Bolingbrook. (Also likely FARM's last time in IL for the foreseeable future). I'm also in charge of the first-ever Private Showcases as well as the Local 1000 Showcase-Free Zone--you can catch me (and Andina & Rich) at any number of them, which run from midnight-2 am each night (Thu, Fri, Sat) as well as a Performance Lane slot in either the 4 or 10 pm block. (No Formal Showcase for us--Board members are ineligible). Registration opens 4 pm Thurs. 9/25 and the conference concludes with Sunday's brunch, workshops, & movie at 2pm.
