Sandy emcees and Andina & Rich take part in the second day of the Chicago Songwriters' Collective writers' rounds at the festival. Four acts--collaboration possibilities abound
Weeere BAAACK! (Actually, proprietor/barista extraordinaire Wendy is "Back"--we're Andina & Rich. No, really!). Two sets of our best covers and originals, with perhaps a special guest or two. (And a P.A. this time). Still the best cafe drinks in Chicagoland, plus sodas, teas, sweets and gelato. Enjoy us from comfy chairs, sofas and tables.
Stephen Lee Rich & I invite you to McNichols Performing Arts Studio in downtown Downers Grove (2 bl. s. of Metra rail) for our Chicago release party for our CD "Two Guitars, a Dulcimer and an Attitude." Madison was a formal show--but this will be a party. We'll be providing the munchies and soft drinks (haven't decided on party hats). All ages (w/in reason--babies must be able to cry in key and on cue), no smoking of course. Mary McNichols, owner, voice teacher/vocal coach/Broadway belter/director extraordinaire, has put together a delightful cozy space with excellent acoustics, a great PA, well-tuned piano, and professional lighting. And her gracious hospitality cannot be equaled. We've attended several showcases there, including a delightful themed open mic.
Cover charge includes an autographed CD. (We'll waive the cover if you bought one and bring it; if you bought the EP "Appetizers" and bring that too, we'll halve the door charge). Parking lot adjacent; for alcohol and full meals afterward, adjourn to the Ballydoyle Pub next door or Emmett's Ale House across the street.
As of mid-Aug. we will probably not have a full band, since our sound will fill that space. (Maybe an occasional soloist on fiddle or mandolin, though...and a surprise guest on accordion for one number).
This year's Andina & Rich Holiday Show for Folks Who Hate the Holidays will be a cozy yet festive house concert. Will post address & details as I get them
